Shipping By Air - RPF400 Regulations

Proper Shipping Name: UN3481 Lithium Batteries contained in equipment PI 967.

1.    Print this mark in colour. The hatched border must appear in red.

2.    Ensure the red border is at least 100mm (3.9 inch) x 100mm (3.9 inch) when printed. We have conveniently sized the mark for you in this document, but please check as the actual printed size may vary depending on your printer or print setting.

3.    Please state on the Nature and Quantity of Goods section on the Air Waybill:

      “Lithium ion batteries in compliance with Section II of PI967”

Shipping RPF Batteries on their own is prohibited. The RPF Lithium Ion battery MUST be installed or packed with the Flowmeter to be shipped. 

When shipping a RPF400 flowmeter in its rugged carry case supplied with the unit, you are automatically in compliance with PI967.

It is forbidden to ship lithium Batteries that are defective, damaged, have the potential to release a dangerous amount of heat, or have the potential to short circuit. This includes RPF400s that have been water damaged.
